On Thursday 15th June we had the pleasure of Chris and Eddie from Sligo/Leitrim Beekeepers Association visiting our classroom with their bee hive. Chris and Eddie mesmerised us with information on bees and how intelligent bees are! We listened intently for an hour and a half. Some of us had great fun fitting on the beekeepers ‘suit’ and protective gear. Sincere thanks to Ms. Daly for gifting this Beekeepers visit to us. A while ago Ms. Daly entered the ‘Pink Lady’ competition and was one of the lucky winners! Thank you Ms. Daly from 4th class. Who knows, maybe someday some of us will have our own apiaries!
