The schools boys and girls football team played in the final of the NLSD Cup in Ballyshannon today. The boys opened up with a great final against Holy Family NS. They led at half time thanks to some super goals but unfortunately Holy Family came back in the 2nd half and took the final by four points. The Girls A Final then took place between Four Masters NS and Creevy NS. Creevy started strongly and took an early lead. However, Kinlough woke from their slumber thanks to Emily Gallagher in the half backs to lead 1 3 to 0 2 at half time with the goal coming from Sophia 'The Bullet' McSharry. In the 2nd half Kinloughs forwards took over with great scores from Aoibhe Connolly, Tinisha, Lucie McGrath Ella McGoldrick and Emma Jane. Special mention must go to Hollie 'The Rock' McGowan who was solid in defence. So, kinlough regained the cup and had great celebrations walking through the town and when returning to school.
