Great success for Four Masters football in the mini 7’s tournament in Manorhamilton
The girls team won all their games with a brilliant display in Boggaun ,Manorhamilton on Wednesday the 6th of April. The girls showed great movement and skills in their wins.Annaliese,Adeline and Sophia scored some lovely points and goals, while there was some solid defending from Lilly and Katie Mae in defence. Emma made some brilliant saves in goal. Emmajane scored some great points in the second half of the game. Shakira was great at interceptions. Nicole made some fantastic clean catches and good blocks. Well done to all the girls who played in the blitz.They will now progress to the next round of the competition.
The boys team played four games in the tournament on Tuesday and faced some very tough opposition from other schools. They won three out of the four games they played. There were some fine scores from Fearghal and Keefe as well as tenacious tackling in midfield by Kyran and Fintan.Daniel put in some great saves.Half back Joseph showed his versatility by playing in different positions throughout the tournament picking out some excellent passes.Eoin was getting in to good space and made some powerful blocks. Our full forward Jamie pawned off the defenders and got some brilliant points. Lennon made some strategic passes up to the forward line. Jim had some fine clearances and some great interceptions. The boys lost one game to a very well organised Diffreen team but won all the other 3 games in style.We had a particularly tight game against St Clares and the boys showed good determination to get a result from the game.
Both teams were a pleasure to take away and were excellent representatives for their school.
