Today the girls and boys football teams started their football season. They played two matches against Holy Family NS in Ballyshannon and Glenties NS. The boys team had a very close match against Holy Family but Liam Cassidys goals proved decisive. They put up a great challenge against Glenties with some players playing their first ever Gaelic match but Glenties took the win in the end. In the girls match they put in an tremendous effort in defeating Holy Family in the first game with several great goals and points. Special mention must go to Lauren Dolan for her impressive defensive display but shortly afterwards suffered a bad injury. Against Glenties Hollie McGowan and Emily Gallagher never gave the Glenties forwards a sniff in another fantastic victory. Well done to all and we look forward to our next match in the North Leitrim/South Donegal Cup.
