The children in 5th and 6th class played in a Gaelic football tournament in the run up to the Halloween break. The children were split into 6 teams and each team played each other over the course of 3 weeks. The emphasis was put on participation and having fun and it was great to see lots of children who don’t play Gaelic football playing in the tournament.
The finals were played on our Halloween Dress up day, there were Oompa Loompa’s tackling vampires and werewolves scoring brilliant points. A big thanks to the transition year students Oscar and Alfie who refereed the games and a big thanks to Fr Keogan who came down to present the cups.
