The school recently invested in Badminton equipment , we purchased 2 badminton bags with 30 rackets and 48 shuttle’s. The equipment was great value as it was subsidised by badminton Ireland. The problem is that the equipment didn’t come with poles and nets and these are quite expensive.
We decided to have a “Big Badminton Day” to
a) Give all the classes a taster session for badminton with the new equipment
b) Raise funds to go toward nets/poles
On Friday April 12th the children in Mr Gallagher’s 6th class organised the “Big Badminton Day”and every class in the school got a 20 minute taster session for badminton. The school also raised €142 to go towards the nets poles. The children seemed to enjoy it and everyone had a great day! Some children in 6th class even created a video of the day!
